In May 2017, after careful consideration and planning, the first  3 alpacas moved to Jochberg. With al lot of patience and with the trainings, books and internet research, we practiced alpaca handling and began to take our 3 young stars for the first walks. In 2021 the herd was gradually enlarged and in 2022 we bought our first female star named "Indy".

Always fascinated by Suri alpacas, we finally decided a year later to specialize in breeding Suris. This elegant alpaca breed makes up only 5 % of the world alpaca population.

The Suri fiber impresses with silky sheen. Wide layers merging into twisted curls are a sign of very high fleece density. The fiber of the Suris is even smoother than that of the Huacayas and therefore can not be matted. Very similar to silk, but excellent for weaving. In contrast to that of the Huacayas, the Surivlies feels cool and silky and was previously only reserved for the highest rulers. Suris are curious, particularly graceful and sometimes more spirited and wild than Huacayas.

There are lovely legends and myths about these gracefulness alpacas. One of them says, that Suris come from the stars. They are a gift from the gods and their silky, long fibers reflect the splendor of the sky.
